Gabi in Bali
Emerald palms, a valley of jungle dropping away below, and a mirror-flat infinity pool that seems to spill straight into the canopy. Gabi stands at the edge in a sleek black one-piece, a sheer sarong knotted at her hip — the Ubud daydream that fills half of everyone's travel feed.
And it is exactly that — a daydream. The image is AI-generated. Gabi hasn't made it to Bali yet. We built this to show you where we want to take her, and to help raise the budget that turns the render into a real plane ticket.
Why Ubud, and not the beach
Most people picture Bali as surf and sand, but the image that travels furthest is the jungle: Ubud, in the island's lush interior, where rice terraces and river gorges are wrapped in dense green. The valley resorts here are famous for infinity pools that hang over the treetops — the single most-shot setup in Balinese travel content.
It is dramatic, it is unmistakably Bali, and it photographs beautifully in soft tropical light. That made it an obvious pick to prototype in AI first.
The jungle infinity pool, explained
The look comes from the ridge resorts strung along the Ayung River valley and the area around Tegallalang and Sayan — properties built into the slope so the pool's edge lines up with the far jungle wall. Stand at the lip and the water appears to merge with the canopy. Morning light, before the midday haze, gives you the cleanest greens and the calmest water.
When to go and what to pack
Bali's dry season, roughly April to October, is the window: less rain, brighter mornings, and pools that actually reflect. Pack light, breathable fabrics, a couple of swimsuits that pop against green, and reef-safe sunscreen.
- Best months: April–October (dry season, clearer mornings).
- Best light: early morning at the pool, before the haze builds.
- The look: a bold solid swimsuit, a sheer sarong, slides — keep it simple.
What she's wearing
Resort-pool minimalism: a black halter one-piece with a deep neckline, a gauzy ivory sarong tied low on the hip, leather slide sandals, a compact shoulder bag and dark sunglasses. One strong colour against all that green is the whole trick — it keeps the eye on her while the jungle does the rest.
